| Both QUARRYBASICS and METRO
TREAD® meet the ADA guidelines
for slip resistance as manufactured. |
| QUARRYBASICS® X-Colors Featuring a metallic additive dispersed throughout the body of
the tile. The additive makes the X-Colors
the optimum choice for high traffic commercial applications with
slip fall concerns. |
| X-Colors have a “speckled” look
that helps hide dirt and marks. |
| X-colors
have a coefficient of friction of 0.90 dry and 0.70 wet at time
of manufacture. Please see the maintenance guide section of this
web site for specific maintenance information for X-Colors. |
METRO
TREAD®
Features nine raised treads across the surface of
each tile and spaced 5/8" apart for added slip resistance. |
| METRO TREAD
has a coefficient of friction of 0.90 dry and 0.70 at time of
manufacture. |
| METRO TREAD is suitable
for heavy traffic areas subject to frequent spills and moisture. |
Please
note: For general installations METRO TREAD® tiles
must be installed in a grid - checkerboard - pattern to achieve
the stated coefficient of friction.
Metro Tread may be
installed in a linear pattern for areas such as hallways and
ramps, when the traffic flows across the tread. Coefficient
of Friction for the linear pattern is 0.90 dry and 0.70 when
properly installed.
